Czech Paradise, Sikhrov Castle
Description:
Czech Paradise – a mosaic of natural and architectural masterpieces
Hundreds of millions of years ago, the territory of the Czech paradise was a seabed covered with volcanoes. Over time, under the influence of the sun and wind, a unique landscape has formed here, consisting of deep gorges, bizarre rocks, intricate caves, crystal clear lakes, dense forests and flowering meadows. People put their hand in this splendor – they built castles, fortresses, citadels and founded cities. The panorama of the Czech paradise is a uniquely beautiful sight, which is a harmonious combination of the greatness of nature and man-made masterpieces.
We will choose one from three routes, differing in complexity and distance. We will pass the labyrinths of rock paths, then rising to the breathtaking tops of the rocks, then delving into the gorges and valleys. The final point of our long and unforgettable route will be the terrace of a forest restaurant with a cool mug of beer and a delicious snack.
After that, our tour does not end, we eat with you in the carved miracle of the Czech Republic, the castle of Sikhrov. It is unique in many ways. It is one of the youngest castles in the Czech Republic (founded in the 18th century). In 1820, it was bought by the French Duke Carl Rogan, who fled the French Revolution, and for more than 100 years it was the official residence of the family. The fabulous neo-Gothic facade and magnificently preserved interiors with richly decorated carvings make Sikhrov Castle one of the most impressive museums in the Czech Republic.
