Description:
We offer you not a standard excursion, but an informative trip that will not leave indifferent those who are interested in history, technology, especially military equipment, and just want to see real tanks, guns, weapons, aircraft, helicopters from the First World War to the present day. Such a trip will cause a special delight for boys and their dads!
The Military Technical Museum is located 30 km from Prague in a very picturesque area on the left bank of the Sazava River. Founded in 1996, the museum is a unique collection of 450 tanks, guns, motorcycles, armored personnel carriers, military trucks and jeeps from all over the world. The equipment is exhibited in former military hangars equipped for the museum. The museum belongs to the Institute of Military History. Entry is free. Open from late May to late September.
A 30-minute drive from the Military Technical Museum is the Museum of Retro Cars. The road to the museum is incredibly picturesque! The museum consists of several halls, which present rare antique cars in original excellent condition or well restored. You will be surprised by the rare models of Tatra cars from ambulances to presidential limousines! By the way, the owner of this museum (and a private museum) recently turned 45 years old, and his car collection is 25 years old! The museum itself arose by accident, when the owner had nowhere to store his priceless collection, and he bought an old farm, which he converted into an exhibition hall. You will be pleasantly surprised and get a lot of impressions!
Excursion to the military-technical museum is held from the end of May to the end of September (the rest of the time the museum is closed to visitors). The Retro Car Museum can be visited throughout the year.
