When you see the Hofburg - the imperial palace of the Habsburgs, a symbol of their greatness and power, it is breathtaking and for a while you forget to breathe with delight. Columns reaching into the sky, giant windows, pompous arches... It seems that the gods from Olympus lived here, all-powerful and majestic.
On the background of the impressive size of the temple of St. Stefan feels like a worthless grain of sand, and the light, penetrating through the stained glass so temptingly plays with the imagination that it seems as if it hit a fantastic underwater world.
Plague pillar, with the incarnation of the Faith that defeated the Plague. And so spectacular is this sculptural composition, so terrible and disgusting is the toothless Plague, defeated by the young and full of strength by Faith, that the whole spectrum of feelings sweeps through the soul, from shuddering at the sight of a horror, to admiration for the talent of the sculptor.
The sculptures amaze with their liveliness. Every muscle on the body is clearly visible, every wrinkle on the face seems to be breathing, living. They're running, they're racing, they're angry and they're indignant, they're waving a baton and they're going to kill.
In a state of complete enchantment, you stand before the parliament - the white, airy Acropolis.
What about Hundertwasser? The artist who built 5shouses is not like the houses. He believed that just as people are different from each other, homes have the right to do so. The straight line is slim, it doesn't exist in nature. All his houses are wavy, colorful and covered with trees. He was able to “implant” plants in the building. Don't you want to see it?
Is Schönbrun the summer residence of the emperors with 1500 rooms decorated with mirrors, stucco and gold? Do you want to visit Belvedere, similar to the Louvre, with a beautiful park? And to visit the dome of the temple of St. Carla, do you want to see and touch the picturesque vaults? And ride on the Prater - the Ferris wheel, and see Vienna from under the sky?
