Friedlant Castle and lunch at Sviyana Brewery
Description:
Frydlant is a place that breathes the time of its owners. What has not happened in the last 800 years? Short knights, immured in armor, guarded the borders of Bohemia from enemy invasions. The owner of the castle Katerina Bibrstein was known for her cruel attitude to serfs. The owner of the castle was also a cunning Albrecht Waldstein, whose story is very reminiscent of “The Tale of the Goldfish”. The apogee of this “fairy tale” was the murder of Waldstein because of his desire to sit on the Czech throne, which caused a storm of negative emotions in the real Czech king, respectively. The right hand of the king in the difficult business of revenge was a friend and associate of Waldstein - a certain nobleman Glamm. Having committed "a little betrayal" about Waldstein, Glamm became the next owner of the castle. As they say, nothing is superfluous, only business). Glammas later rebuilt a chic palace in downtown Prague, which now houses the Barbie Doll Museum.
Since 1945, the castle fell to the state (so plaster fell off the walls in some places, and the heating here is not included).
But there's a lot to see here! The longest exhibition in the Czech Republic! 60 rooms! The female half of the castle, the male half of the castle, the servants' rooms, the nursery, the kitchen, the bathroom, the manicure room, a lot of dining rooms (the feeling that 15 times on the day the nobles took a letter in different parts of the castle complex)), the weapons room, stairs, stairs, chapel, smoking room, and so on - do not count.
And everywhere there are some small details of the life of past days. It is a place of warmth and warmth (although it does not sink).
And they say that on the lower floors of the castle there is a “Amber Room” hidden! But there's no way to verify it. They don't let anyone in. The guards say it's wrong. You know, you can't fight an evil watchman. This is the only force on the planet that can leave everyone and everything alone with the cry of "Where?!!!"
Therefore, the mystery of the Amber Room still cannot be revealed.
I suggest you try. And if we can not get into the Holy of Holies, then at least we will admire the castle.
And dine in the brewery Svijana, where the dish costs 5 euros) and a large glass of beautiful Czech beer - 80 cents.
Shall we?
