Glavkov bridge
Hlá vků v most, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic
Description:
Glavkov Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Prague. It crosses the largest Prague island of Stvanice, and its appearance combines two styles of architecture. The main attraction of the bridge is its famous sculptures.
Glavkov bridge was built in 1912 and immediately received its former name. This bridge consists of two parts. This is the result of a compromise between the supporters of iron and reinforced concrete structures.
Today, as in ancient times, trams run across the bridge, and pedestrian roads are always full of people. And all because it has artistic features - this bridge is known for remarkable relief sculptures, and on the north side there are sculptures "Labor" and "Humanity".
