Barricadnikov Bridge

Czech Republic, Prague, Barricadnikov Bridge

Description:

Prague is popular among tourists for its magnificent bridges. One of them is the Barrikadnikov Bridge, it was built in 1983. The bridge acquired its name due to the blockade in 1945, when the Prague Uprising took place. The length of the bridge is 220 m, and the width is 16 meters. It was on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Czechoslovakia that the Barricadnikov Bridge was opened. The bridge itself is a part of a circular multi-lane road. At an angle of 53 the bridge crosses Vlatva. Given the current of Vlatva, we can say that this is the extreme road bridge, then only a tram metal and a hinged passage for pedestrians and cyclists to the Trotsky Castle.
