Nerudova street
118 00 Praha-Praha 1, Czech Republic
Description:
Nerudova Street is one of the most important in Prague, as it connects Prague Castle and Malostra Square. The origin of the name is not difficult to guess – in honor of the great Czech journalist and writer Jan Neruda named street, which was born in its very beginning.
On the sides of the steep cobblestone street Nerudov there are buildings in the Baroque style - quite simple, but interesting. Many houses have preserved medieval gates and house signs.
Such famous sights of Prague as the island of Kampa, the Franz Kafka Museum and many others are located near Nerudova Street. In order to visit them all, it may not be enough for a few days.
This part of Prague was forever immortalized by the “Little Stranger Tales” written by Jan Neruda. But before this street was a place where masters, artists and artisans lived.
