Slap reservoir - one of the largest in the Czech Republic, belongs to the cascading reservoirs on the Vltava. It was formed in a narrow rocky valley by erecting a dam to protect the capital from flooding. The reservoir is located 40 kilometers from Prague. The surface area of the water is almost 1400 hectares, and the maximum depth reaches 55 meters.
On the coastline, which stretches for 150 kilometers in circumference, there are hotels, boarding houses, campsites, restaurants, which makes this place attractive and convenient for tourists. There are a number of services for a pleasant pastime: diving, water skiing, boating and canoeing, fishing, surfing. Not far from the reservoir is the Czech reserve of Albert Rocks.
