Description:
New World is a small, ancient, narrow street in Prague. Here there are houses with the name: “At the Golden Acorn”, “At the Golden Grapes”, “At the Golden Lamb”, “At the Golden Tree”. It originated in the heyday of the Middle Ages, mainly its inhabitants were poor people: workers and artisans who worked in the nearby Prague Castle. The street has survived several fires. Famous people lived here: astronomer Emperor Rudolf II and the family in which the outstanding Czech musician František Ondrichek was born. This street returns its guests to the Middle Ages, evokes romantic feelings, so it is used by artists and writers for walks, in search of inspiration.
