Description:
Pragonice Castle is located 15 kilometers west of Prague. Medieval Gothic castle Pragonice was built in the XIII century, and at the end of the XIX century was restored in the Neo-Renaissance style. In front of the castle there is a pond in which carp are found.
Around the castle there is a wonderful park of 73 hectares, in which more than five thousand species of trees, shrubs, flowers and other plants are collected. The park is intertwined by many paths, their total length reaches 30 kilometers.
The main influx of tourists falls in late spring – early summer, who come here to see the flowering collections of rhododendrons and azaleas.
