Mozart House Museum in Prague

Mozartova 169, Praha 5

About the company:

The Mozart House Museum in Prague (Museum Bertramka) was opened in 1956. Here the great composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, completed the work on the opera Don Juan. The house was bought in the XVIII century by the spouses Dushkov. The couple devoted their lives to music, so part of the exposition of the museum is dedicated to them. After finishing work on the opera Don Giovanni, Mozart also wrote Bella Mia Fiamma, Addio, dedicating this concert stage to Josefina Dushkova.

The museum consists of 7 exhibition halls that tell visitors about the history of the museum. One of the halls will present to your attention the interior of the XVIII century. Every object in the room is associated with music. Also among the exhibits is a huge number of personal belongings of the great composer: musical instruments, engravings, personal letters, as well as 13 hairs that Mozart owned.

In recent years, Bertramka has seen many different concerts and performances. Getting to such events is not easy. Music lovers gather here, worship Mozart and his talent, and talk about art.
