Description:

The monastery of barefoot Augustinians is located on Mikulash Square from Gusa in Tabor, which used to be called Monastery. The barefoot Augustinians are a mendicant order, a small congregation that broke away from the Augustinian Eremites.

The monastery, part of which was the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, was built to strengthen the influence and spread of the Catholic faith over the Protestant in the city of Tabor. The building material for the church building was taken from the destroyed city buildings.

Currently, the Hussite Museum is located in the buildings of the former monastery, which hosts an exhibition dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the Augustinians. The tour includes acquaintance with the history of the Augustinian monastery, acquaintance with the decoration of the church and a visit to the crypt of the church, which is decorated with ancient frescoes.
