Description:
Peace Square in Litomeržice is the main public city place and the heart of the medieval city center. The area of the trapezoid shape with dimensions of 75-90 meters in width and 180-195 meters in length. Since ancient times, it served commercial purposes, it was the main city market.
The square has two fountains, one of which is decorated with statues of four dolphins, and the second is a replica of a medieval fountain that was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Also on the square rises the pestilence, installed here in 1685.
The vast majority of the houses surrounding the square around the perimeter are medieval buildings of Gothic style. Here you can see the Renaissance House at the Black Eagle, the Church of All Saints, the Old Town Hall and the library.
