Osorno volcano, lakes and Petroue cascades

On a rich journey you will find volcanoes, waterfalls, lava fields and evergreen Patagonian forest. An incredible amount of Chilean beauty! We will walk along the Red Crater, swim in the Petroue River and visit Lake Todos los Santos, visit the colonial city of Puerto Varas.

Osorno volcano.

The path will run along a picturesque road along Lake Llanquiue. At the top of the majestic volcano (2,652 m) you will enjoy panoramic views of the lake, the mighty Andes and the neighboring volcano Calbuco.

Walk on the crater.

You will have a 1.5-hour trekking to the Red Crater and a walk around it at an altitude of 1300 m, offering incredible views of the forest and lava fields at the foot of the volcano. If desired, you can replace trekking to the crater with another route that does not involve climbing the mountain, or climbing the cable car - but it does not work all months of the year. If the tour is in the winter months, then we can play snowballs on the glacier of the volcano and make a snowman.

Patagonian forest.

We will go down by car to the base of the volcano Osorno, walk through the evergreen forest and lava plains, and then go to the most beautiful river in the region - Petroue. If you wish, you can swim here. The walk will take about 1.5 hours. This option is not available for cruise passengers due to time constraints.

The Petroue Cascades are an amazing creation of nature. You will admire the turquoise water falling from volcanic rocks. Those who wish can swim in small natural lagoons adjacent to the river. But the water is always cool! Here we will have a small picnic with light snacks and drinks.

Lake Todos los Santos.

But the shores of a picturesque lake surrounded by mountains covered with dense green forest, we will relax and walk.

Free walking lamas.

If the tour falls on Saturday or Sunday, then we will stop at the farm, where lamas walk along the lawns, pet and take pictures with them.

Puerto Varas is a colonial town founded by German settlers. It is famous for picturesque streets, historical buildings and cozy cafes.

Who's good for a tour?

Both active travelers and lovers of calm contemplation of nature - except for people over 75 years old and pregnant in the late stages.
The program is convenient for travelers arriving on cruise ships to Puerto Montt for 1 day.

Transportation

The trip usually takes place in a comfortable car, matched to the size of the group – for example, Hyundai Staria or Peugeot 2008/3008. On request, you can order a high-class car. Or a helicopter or a seaplane.

Route flexibility

The route can be adjusted according to your wishes. We can eliminate the most active part (trekking around the crater and walking through the Patagonian forest), replacing them with stops in beautiful places for photo shoots without hiking.
