Captain Pastené Village
Traigu n - Lumaco - Capit n Pastene - Quidico, Lumaco, Araucan a Chile 189 m
Description:
Captain Pastené is a village with a population of just over 2,500 inhabitants. The village was founded in the early XX century.
About 90 Italian families came to Chile and founded the settlement. The city is named after Captain Giovanni Pastené, who first discovered the coast of Chile. Despite the fact that this small settlement is located almost in the center of the country, the inhabitants managed to preserve the colors and customs of their ancestors.
And the way of life of the indigenous settlers has not changed, they are just like their great-grandparents 100 years ago engaged in agriculture, cultivating land and raising livestock. The patriarchal structure of their ancestors is invariably used.
