Vergara Palace

Quinta Vergara Park, Viña del Mar, Chile

Description:

Vergara Palace is a monument of architecture and is located inside the Quinta Vergara Park in Viña del Mar, Chile. This place was the home of the founder of Viña del Mar Jose Francisco Vergara.

The Venetian Gothic building was built in 1910 to replace the family's house, which collapsed during the 1906 earthquake. Most of the furniture was purchased directly in Europe, here you can see different styles, especially rococo. The park has many exotic plant species brought from Asia, Australia and California.

There are several sculptures in the park, including a bust of Gabriela Mistral. In 1941, the municipality of Viña Del Mar bought the palace in the park and opened it to tourists. And now everyone can enjoy the beauty of this amazing place, which is definitely worth a visit.
