Fonck Museum
Cuatro Norte 784, Viñ a del Mar
About the company:
The Francisco Fonca Museum of Archaeology and Natural History is a must-see if you are interested in history and archaeology. This is the largest collection of finds representing the cultural and historical heritage of Chile.
In the collections of the museum there are painted Peruvian ceramics, surprisingly thin and elegant jewelry, elements of clothing and shoes worn by the Indian tribes that once lived here. In addition, a separate floor is occupied by natural exhibits: a collection of dried insects and butterflies, which in themselves are already like jewelry, stuffed animals and birds living in this area and much more.
A special pride of the museum is the moai statue. The famous stone image was brought from Easter Island for those who can not personally visit this place. In the hall you can get acquainted with the traditions and culture of this island, admire the crafts and folk art of the Mapuche, see skillful silver products.
