Remoteness from the capital, impregnable mountains and impenetrable rainforests - thanks to this "isolation" Samana has still preserved its virgin beauty. Lush tropical vegetation and fabulously beautiful beaches make the peninsula one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
Samana is also a paradise for lovers of eco-tourism: here is the largest and undoubtedly unique Los Haitises National Park. It attracts many tourists with its pristine beauty, tropical plants and unique animals. In addition, you should visit the famous waterfall El Limon, whose height is about 40 meters. As the legend says, bathing in it, you will get untold wealth. The way to the waterfall you will overcome on horses amid the majestic mountains and stunning views. After the waterfall, be sure to visit the ranch, where you will be told about the cultivation of coffee and cocoa, as well as offer these delicious drinks. ;
Another unique place in this province is the island of Cayo Levantado (Bacardi), which became the scenery for advertising the famous Bacardi rum. Visiting these places you will have an unforgettable impression of paradise, and you will definitely want to return again. Samana Bay is also world famous for the fact that every year, from January to March, a population of North Atlantic humpback whales swim here for mating games and the birth of cubs.
