Ethiopia Grand Tour
Description:
About your guide: Einat Klein is the only professional Russian-speaking historian and photographer in Ethiopia, published in publications such as National Geographic, GEO, My Planet and others, as well as collaborating with several international universities. He conducts historic tours throughout Ethiopia for private clients and small groups.
Ethiopia is one of the most important and interesting countries of the African continent. Being one of the least developed today, it has preserved the greatest heritage of history and archaeology, religious traditions and cultural strata. Deciding to visit both parts of Ethiopia in one tour, you will plunge into two worlds at once: the wild and unexplored valleys of Omo, and the civilized center of Christianity – visit Axum, Geralta and Lalibela, as well as walk through the salt deserts and climb to the active volcano of the Afar region.
In 16 days of our journey, we will make a kind of ring, closing the past with the future, primitive civilization with the Western, the cradle of Christianity.
During the tour, we will try to visit the maximum number of tribal rituals and rituals, get acquainted with petty officers, learn a little Amharic and learn a lot about the classical history of Ethiopia.
Please note that there may be minor changes in the tour program due to the possible attendance of the “bull jump” ceremony (we will try to adapt to the Hamer calendar as much as possible on the spot, it is impossible to foresee this in advance), as well as due to the weather, the security situation and for other reasons beyond our control.
Everyone can take part in the tour, regardless of the country of your residence. This tour is perfect for both history lovers and photography enthusiasts.
