Dallol volcano
Description:
Volcano Dallol in northern Ethiopia at once on several parameters holds the palm of the championship for the title of the most unusual place on the planet. This is the lowest volcano, its crater is located almost fifty meters below sea level. The diameter of the crater is about one and a half kilometers.
Dallol is located in a place that is considered the hottest place on Earth, the average annual temperature here is thirty-four degrees. The landscape created by this amazing volcano can also be considered quite unique. The hills surrounding the crater are covered with salt deposits of the most unimaginable colors - lemon yellow, emerald green, blood red, pale orange fields and salt pillars create an unearthly landscape, as if descended from the pages of a science fiction novel.
Unfortunately, Dallol volcano is also one of the most inaccessible attractions on the planet. Located at a considerable distance from any settlements, in an area completely devoid of roads, the volcano is also protected by residents of the Ethiopian Tribes tribe, who do not particularly favor explorers and tourists.
