Bole International Airport
Description:
Bo'le International Airport is the main airport of Ethiopia, located in the suburbs of Addis Ababa - Bole, at an altitude of more than 2000 m. Formerly known as Haile Selassie International Airport I. It is the home airport of Ethiopian Airlines. Flights are carried out in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
In 2003, it opened a new international passenger terminal, one of the largest in Africa. Together with the new terminal, a new runway 3,800 m long was put into operation.
In 2007, the airport served 2,837,543 passengers.
