Description:

Maulid (Birthday of the Prophet)
The birth of Muhammad was celebrated three hundred years after Islam was established. And, according to researchers, not without the influence of the Christian tradition. However, the exact date of Muhammad’s birth is unknown, so Maulid is timed to the day of the death of the prophet.

Muhammad is the founder of one of the world’s religions, Islam. He taught the Arabs and other followers about the true faith in one eternal Creator.

The Prophet Muhammad was born in 570 AD in modern Arabia. Muhammad’s father died before he was born before he could hold the baby. His mother, Amina, gave the future Prophet to the nomads because there was no money to support the child. She died when Muhammad was six years old. Muhammad spent his entire childhood in families of nomads who roamed the deserts of the peninsula. For his kindness and honesty, the Meccans called the little boy Amin.
