An integral attribute of any festive carnival in Ecuador is water, plenty of water. If you are a part of the celebration – be sure, you will be bathed! As any tourist here is a very attractive target. Perhaps this tradition may irritate someone, but it is impossible not to recognize and accept the fact that it is one of the ways residents celebrate this holiday.
