Pailon del Diablo Falls

Baños, Ecuador

Description:

Ecuador’s most beautiful waterfall, Pailon del Diablo or Devil’s Cauldron, is located near the town of Banos, one kilometer from the main road that leads from Banos to Puo. This road is also called “Ruta de las Cascades”, it is located in a picturesque valley with several dozen waterfalls. On the way from the main road to the waterfall, you can see many bright butterflies and orchids.

Paillon del Diablo is not the largest waterfall in Ecuador, but it is quite famous in the country. Here you can literally come close to the huge boiling boiler, which is called the Pailon. It is with the boiler that the lagoon in the gorge with vertical stone walls, bubbling from the mass of falling water, is associated.

The main attraction of the Devil's Cauldron is a tunnel through which you can get behind the waterfall. Many of those who have been there say that it is an incredibly impressive sight when you stand on the site all in splashes and in the rumble of a waterfall, behind a black rock, and in front of a white wall of water that you can touch with your hand.
