Pululahua volcano
Description:
Pululagua volcano is located in the north of Pichincha province in Ecuador, in the northern part of the Andes. The diameter of its crater is about 5 kilometers, and from the top (3356 meters above sea level) offers a magnificent view of the land, which seems to be a patchwork blanket due to the abundance in the vicinity of farms and forests.
The last time the volcano Pululagua erupted was in 467 BC, and this time, as a result of the eruption, a significant part of the culture of the Aboriginal Chorrera was destroyed.
This volcano is located within the Ecuadorian national park known as Reserva Geobotá nica Pululahua.
Of the popular entertainments in the area, horseback riding is practiced, and right in the crater there is a chic hotel and restaurant where you can relax or have a snack before further travel.
The weather in the area is sunny and warm most of the year, but there can always be clouds.
