Tungurahua volcano
Description:
Mount Tungurahua is located in the Ecuadorian Andes in the Sangay National Park, and is an active volcano. From Spanish, its name translates as “throat of fire”, in honor of him named the province in which it is located. The height of this mountain is 5023 meters above sea level.
The greatest interest of scientists and tourists, this volcano began to cause in 1999, when its volcanic process began, which, incidentally, continues to this day: lava periodically overflows the crater and flows down the slopes and gorges of the mountain. Needless to say, the sight is unforgettable, but it is better to watch it from a safe distance.
Of course, there is no question of any rich flora and fauna on the slopes of a sensitively dormant volcano, but it would seem superfluous here, because now this landscape is filled with a special apocalyptic charm, and when looking at it, thoughts arise about the power of the elements and forces of nature.
