St. Mary's Church

The Church of St. Mary is an Orthodox landmark of the city. Despite the fact that recently after the government decree, Christian unrest began. President Isaiah Afwerka has outlawed all Eritrean Christian communities (including more than 30 independent communities), with the exception of the Eritrean Catholic, Evangelical Lutheran and Islamic churches.
