Crystal Bay Caves
Boracay, Katiklan, Philippines
Description:
Impressive caves of Crystal Bay are located on the eponymous island measuring only 2 hectares. The island itself is lost in the sea between the large islands of Boracay and Katiklan. Thus, you can get to Crystal Bay only by boat, which runs from the island of Boracay.
The surroundings of the island, as well as the Crystal Caves themselves, are a favorite place for snorkeling along with the White Beach of Boracay, and for good reason. The water around the island is always very clean, turquoise shades, which is why its attractions were called Crystal. The first of the two famous caves is located in the center of the island and overlooks the sea. The staircase in this cave leads tourists to crystal formations, as well as small reservoirs formed by bizarre limestone growths. On windy days, the water in the cave is restless and tourists hold on to special ropes.
The second cave is much larger in size, from it a direct tunnel leads to the cave pool, in which everyone can buy. Also in the second of the Crystal Caves there is a wooden observation deck for those who just stand and admire this magnificent creation of nature.
