Sightseeing tour of Cebu and Mactan
Description:
The tour starts at 10am in the hotel lobby. The tour can start from both Cebu and Mactan Island.
The first point of our journey is where Magellan died. You will learn the fascinating story of the discovery of Cebu by a navigator and the encounter with the warlike leader Lapu-Lapu. Why Magellan was killed and how you will find out on this tour.
The next stop is the Alegre guitar factory. Guitars from here are exported, as they are considered very high-quality and made entirely by hand. Slowly, with caution, clearly and harmoniously each of the workers performs his task without machines and machines. There are not only ordinary guitars (justice and left-handed), but also mandolins, ukuleles, and very interesting coconut guitars. Now it's time to go to Cebu in Fort San Pedro. It was built in 1565 from wood. Now it is one of the main attractions of Cebu. And of course, the Basilica of Santo Niño, where there is the original statuette of the Holy Infant Jesus donated by Magellan. Here the main city masses are held and everyone who comes tries to approach the statuette and touch the glass.
After viewing the circular monument about the history of Cebu, we will have lunch with a buffet and go to Taois Temple. This is a magical place with landscape design and the aroma of incense. Here you can try your luck and get into one of the vases for the fulfillment of wishes. And of course, interesting divination. Not exactly divination, of course, but something similar. If you go through the right sequence of actions, you can ask God the most exciting question and get an unambiguous answer: yes or no. Interesting experience.
After the temple, if desired, we can stop at one of the cafes of the famous brand in the Philippines, where you can buy cocoa beans fried in chocolate glaze. It's delicious and healthy. And of course, we can stop at the mall in the gift shop, which sells everything that is made in the Philippines. These are Pili nuts (I am sure that you have never tried them), chic coffee grown on mountain plantations, dried fruits and other souvenirs. And the most interesting is the unique pistachio, brown and gold sea pearls.
