Park Pasonka
Pasonica Park, Saint Maria Road, Zamboanga, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines
Description:
Pasonica Park is located in Zamboanga, Philippines. Construction of the park began in 1912 on the initiative of the Governor of Moreau, General John Pershing. His case was finished by 1920. Park architect Thomas Hanley was specially invited from the United States to create and maintain the park. He created the original layout of the park.
Pasonka is a very “social” park, the emphasis is not on natural resources, but on convenience and opportunities for leisure and recreation of people. There are campsites separately for men and women, there is a conference center, an amphitheater and three outdoor pools. One of them is really huge - Olympic size, the second - with a natural flow, and the third - children's, equipped with water slides.
Another interesting object of the Park of Pasonica is the Tree House. It was originally built for the "City Youth Center" in 1960, but now it is a visited tourist site, which can also be rented for private use for a reasonable fee. In terms of comfort and space, a house is equal to an ordinary room in a motel.
Also in the park there is an island of exotic vegetation and butterflies, named after the patroness of the park - Le Jardin de Maria Clara Lobregat.
