Southway Square Shopping Centre
Corner Avenue of Governor Lima and La Purisima Street, Zamboanga, Philippines
Description:
Southway Square is a medium-sized shopping center located in the heart of Zamboangi, Philippines. It stretches along Governor Lima Avenue. This five-story building houses a high-end department store, a supermarket and unchanging boutiques and shops in large numbers. It is considered the city's prime mall (it is sometimes called the City Prime Mall), because Southway Square has great investment potential. It also has sufficient capacity to be an arena for concerts and shopping tours.
The main residents of the shopping center are a supermarket and department store. The first opened in late 2006 and the second in mid-2007. The first underground parking in Zamboanga was opened in Southway Square. The famous fast food restaurants Jollybe, Greenwich and Choking are located on the ground floor. All of them belong to the Jollibe Corporation.
Earlier on the site of Southway Square was the shopping passage of the Zamboang Gallery. This mall has been at the forefront of aggressive marketing programs developed by a dedicated marketing team. The main purpose of these programs was to organize consumer actions, which had previously been held only in the largest cities of the Philippines.
