Halloween - All Saints' Day Eve (Samine)

Description:

Halloween celebration is very bright: everyone competes in the originality of costumes
Everyone knows the famous joke holiday of evil spirits on October 31. The history of the holiday dates back thousands of years. It all began, as the legend says, with the Celtic tribes that inhabited the territory of modern Britain and France in ancient times. The Celts were always pagans and worshipped the sun god, and according to their beliefs, divided the light year into two parts: summer and winter.

Just on the night of the first of November, when the Celtic summer was replaced by the Celtic winter, they celebrated their main holiday - the advent of the new year and the passage of the sun god into captivity Samhain, the almighty prince of darkness and lord of the dead. On this night, all the boundaries between human and infernal disappeared, the barriers between good and evil ceased to exist: the souls of the dead, who did not have time to realize any intentions during life, descended to earth and assumed various material forms.

This holiday is also celebrated in France. This is a bright holiday - a masquerade, which took over from a pagan holiday a set of fascinating traditions. The streets of all cities in France turn into a real fairy tale. Everywhere you look, there are empty eye sockets of pumpkin heads of all kinds. In restaurants and cafes, the stormy festivities do not stop until the morning. Dressed up in unthinkable costumes of witches and ghosts, young people gallop through the main streets.

In all bakeries and confectionery in France on this day you can buy a "cake of all saints", decorated with images of saints.

However, a fun, humorous and relaxed version of the holiday refers rather to young people.
