Lake Tola
Description:
Lac de Tolla is a lake located in South Corsica, in the valley of the village of the same name at an altitude of 800 m above sea level. The lake is an artificial pool (due to a specially erected dam) of the Prunelli River. The purpose of the Lac de Tolla is to produce potable mineralized water.
On all sides, the lake is surrounded by thickets of pine trees and agricultural land, which makes the place especially picturesque and attractive. In addition, it fascinates the eye with impeccably blue water, in some places with a slightly greenish tint. Due to favorable environmental and climatic conditions, as well as due to the great depths, the lake is rich in commercial freshwater fish. If you are going to include a visit to Lake Tola in your itinerary, be sure to rent a spinning and a boat (release works freely around the perimeter of the reservoir).
