The Rocks of Calanche Cliffs
5 km southwest of Porto, Corsica, France
Description:
The name of the rocks comes from the Corsican word "calanca", which means a narrow sea bay, bay. The mountain masses and peaks here are bright orange and pink. It's like they're crumbling in the blue sea. The multicolored spires and towers are located at an altitude of 300 meters, which is in great contrast to the green crowns of pine and chestnut forests.
Many sections of the rocks have long been associated with different animals and numbers, of which the most famous is the Tet de Chien (dog head) in the northern part of the rocks. Also known are the head of the Moor, the bishop with binoculars, the bear and the turtle.
