Дамбак-ла-Виль

Dambach la Ville and Bernstein Castle

Description:

You will have a unique opportunity not only to walk about a beautiful town, like a fabulous toy. The town has preserved a fortress wall of the XIV century with three entrance towers-gates. The beautiful town hall with a stepped forceps and a fountain attracts attention.

The town is filled with numerous tasting cellars, courtesy of offering fine Alsatian wines.

Dambach la Ville has the status of the largest winery. From it, it is proposed to climb on foot to the castle of the XII century Bernstein to a height of about 500 m. The climb takes no more than 30 minutes. From the castle opens a delightful panorama of Alsace and the Vosges.

The ascent to the castle begins from the beautiful chapel of St. Sebastian, inside which is a beautiful Baroque altar.
