Deauville

Deauville Quay

Deauville, Normandy, France

Description:

Deauville is an elite resort located on the wonderful coast of the English Channel, which was created so that wealthy people could enjoy a holiday in their circle. The resort was conditionally divided into two lines. The first is a multi-kilometer wide beach, and the second is a popular boardwalk (promenade), on which restaurants, bars and cafes are located.

It is simply impossible to visit Deauville without walking along Les Planches, a boardwalk that was built in 1923. As on the famous Hollywood Boulevard, on the embankment of Deauville you can read on the doors of the locker rooms the names of various movie stars who once visited the local beautiful beach. These names make a huge impression on tourists.

Also, it should be noted that here, on the embankment of Deauville, the famous film by Claude Lelusch “Man and Woman” was filmed with Jean-Louis Trentignan and Anouk Aime in the lead roles. The length of the boardwalk is almost 2 km and is a favorite place for photo shoots and walks of famous personalities.
