Palace of Festivals
1 Boulevard de la Croisette, 06400 Cannes, France
Description:
The Palace of Festivals in Cannes is a place that is known in all corners of the world. Every year there is an event that is central to the life of the city - the International Film Festival. For the cherished golden palm tree, the best film directors and actors of the world come here, bringing their new works to the public.
The first festival palace was built on the Croisette in 1949 on the site of a navigation circle building. Now here is the Stefani Palace. In 1979, due to the rapidly growing popularity of the film festival at the beginning of the Croisette, it was decided to build a new building for it, more spacious. The first building, designed by architects Benne and Druet, opened in 1982 and has since been expanded. The Espas Riviera area of 10,000 square meters appeared, and in 2006 the Lehren Rotunda was built, which offers a magnificent panorama of the sea.
Now the Cannes Palace of Festivals is a state-of-the-art enterprise capable of providing exceptional opportunities for holding international events of various formats and at any level.
