The Croisette Quay

France, Cannes, 68 Boulevard de la Croisette, 6400 Cannes

Description:

The Croisette Promenade is Cannes' "Broadway" stretching along Cannes Bay from the harbor, which houses luxury yachts and the Palace of Festivals to the prestigious Palm Beach Casino. On February 9, 2001, the street was included in the General List of Cultural Heritage of France.

The embankment was laid in the middle of the XIX century along the road that arose in the era of Roman rule. In the early twentieth century, the Croisette was a boulevard of crowned persons and musicians. Nothing has changed, except that it has become even more pompous and expensive: the famous hotels Carlton, Majestic, Martinez, luxury galleries, boutiques of famous couturiers, chic Jaguars and Bentley, leading to stupor price tags.

The incomparable beaches along the Croisette with specially imported sand are designed not to please the tourist, but to comfort the “I” of private owners. All the beaches are paid - it's the Croisette!
