Lyon Saint-Exupery Airport

Description:

The building of the airport of Lyon is a real architectural masterpiece in the form of a white-winged bird, ready to take off after the aircraft gaining altitude. Since 2000, the airport of Lyon has been named after Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a native of this city, a writer and a military pilot.

The airport is located at a distance of 25 km from the eastern part of the city. Many European flights arrive there, including low-cost airlines such as EasyJet. More than 40 airlines use this airport.

There is an express tram to the city center, the route takes about half an hour. Tickets for it can be bought at vending machines at the airport. Flights are operated from 6 am to 12 am. Traditionally, you can take a taxi. From December to the end of April, shuttle basses are sent to the main resorts of the Alps, connecting Lyon airport with several ski areas.

In Lyon Saint-Exupery you will easily find everything you need: cafes, restaurants, post office, pharmacy, exchange office. The airport stores present the widest range of goods: from clothing of famous brands to local souvenirs. Ladies will certainly be interested in exquisite jewelry, and men will treat themselves to goods with the symbols of the famous Lyon football club. And so that children do not interfere with parents buying souvenirs, special playrooms are equipped for them.
