A dream called Provence

Description:

Provence is in fashion now...

And this is understandable, for where else can one feel paradise on earth – a real oasis of the majesty of nature, tranquility and happiness? Here, luxurious landscapes open and the air is filled with the aromas of honey, Provencal herbs and lavender. There is music of the hills and cicadas give solo concerts. Here, dipping into the leisurely rhythms of life, you can relax, enjoy a glass of pink wine and be inspired by new discoveries and adventures.

If you want to taste what Provence is, go to Luberon! It is called the heart of this region.

We will walk along picturesque rural roads, surrounded by orchards, olive groves, vineyards, cedar forests, lavender fields. And then we will stop in colorful villages listed in the list of the most beautiful villages in France. Each of them boasts the most impressive views of the entire region. Each of them has its own history and its own “highlight”.

We will walk through the narrow streets and miniature squares of Lourmarin, the castles, old houses and fountains of which were inspired in their time by Albert Camus, Henri Bosco, Peter Mail. We will listen to the poetry of the Gorda stones and from the height of this “citadel village” we will enjoy the magnificent views of the Luberon Valley. Climb the only street in Lacoste to the mystical castle of the Marquis de Sade, which is now owned by the famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin and where cultural festivals take place every year. Finally, we will admire the magical landscapes of Roussillon – the rich color palette of its ochre quarries, rocks, facades and alleys.

And if our trip falls during the flowering of lavender (June-July), we will definitely visit Senank Abbey, where the most famous lavender field is located.

Our trip will last 5-6 hours if you arrive on a cruise ship, and a whole day if you are on a Provençal vacation.
