Lascari Palace

15 rue Droite, Nice, France

Description:

The Palais Lascaris is the largest and most luxurious Baroque building in the old part of Nice. The history of the Palace begins in 1648, when Marshal of the Dukes of Savoy Jean-Baptiste Lascary Ventimius buys four buildings and turns them into a luxurious residence of Lascary. The construction of the palace was completed in 1665, and the Lascari family immediately moved to their palace.

The palace has four floors. Climbing the marble staircase, you can get into the luxurious apartments of the XVI-XVII centuries, fully furnished in the fashion of that time, see Flemish tapestries and carpets, unique baroque frescoes. The appearance of the palace is no less remarkable, it strikes with a particularly richly decorated facade overlooking the old part of Nice.
