Chagall Museum in Nice

The Chagall Museum is located in Simye, the old district of Nice. All paintings by artist Marc Chagall are divided by theme and decorate three halls of a one-storey mansion. In the first room you will see 17 canvases of the “Biblical message”, personifying Genesis and Exodus. All the paintings are made in gouache.

In the next room, the paintings display love lyrics.

In the third hall there are temporary exhibitions of the museum. There is also a concert hall where thematic evenings are regularly held. Thanks to most of the paintings made on the biblical theme, the full name of the museum is as follows: "National Museum of the Biblical message of Marc Chagall".

It is noteworthy that Marc Chagall since the opening of the museum took an active part in the activities of the museum. In addition to painting the artist, there are also his and other works - sculptures, sketches, stained glass windows, engravings. Chagall Museum is one of the main attractions of the city.
