Monument to Toreador
3 Place des Arenes, Nimes, France
Description:
Monument toreador is one of the most amazing sights of the city of Nim. It was erected in honor of Christian Montecuccoll under the pseudonym Nimeno II, who was an urban idol, a legend and just a charming man. His performances have always attracted a large number of people.
He was born and raised in these places. He entered the arena for the first time at the age of 13 and since that time he could not imagine his life without her. Bullfighting became his life. In 1989, as a result of a tragic performance with a bull, he was injured and died in 1991.
The city decided to perpetuate the memory of the great artist Christian. Now the figure of the bullfighter in magnificent robe meets visitors to the city of Nim at the Arena, built in the I century AD.
