Vansen Van Gogh

Description:

Vansen Van Gogh is an unrecognized genius, an artist whose paintings are now worth millions!
In his lifetime, the most expensive painting he sold was only 300 francs.

He often felt like a stranger at a celebration of the lives of the people around him.

Only 35 km from Paris there is an amazing beauty and a very cozy town - Auvers-on-Oise.

It was there that Van Gogh ended his life that he was buried with his faithful brother Theo, who was his lifelong support.

In this town, Van Gogh painted many of his most vivid paintings and it was there that he, tired of life, ended it by suicide, writing before his death the painting “Crows over the Field”, which is an allegory of the “cursed crown” of the artist.

There is a castle in the town where, even if you never understood Impressionism too much, you will be imbued with it, you will understand how this trend was born and what kind of people were these artists, who were at first called contemptuously "impressionists" (in French "impression" is an impression). In the castle you will see a wonderful performance and get into the atmosphere of Paris and the surrounding picturesque villages of the XIX century.

I'll show you Vansen's tiny room in Rava's former inn.

If you want to have lunch, then you can eat in the same place where the artist once “collected” with the Rava spouses. Now it is a very nice restaurant with a very tasty homemade cuisine.

We will walk through the lovely streets of this town, looking at the Absinthe Museum. It was this drink that also ruined the artist’s already not generous life. Here you can try absinthe, but another, because since the time of Van Gogh, when they discovered some adverse properties of the drink, absinthe has been heavily modified and is now absolutely not dangerous.

In this town there are many stories, mysteries, and many streets hang reproductions of a painting by Van Gogh, representing the vision of this world by the artist.

There’s an artist’s studio in Auvers where you can buy a freshly painted painting, even if it’s not Van Gogh, but who knows how much this painting will cost you through. years!
