Magnificent Versailles

Description:

The magnificent Palace of Versailles – built by the no less magnificent king of the sun – Louis XIV is famous all over the world!

The luxury, richness and solemnity of its architecture and interiors is striking at first sight!

The history of building the palace lasted 50 years. It was built in the 17th century on the site of a small hunting lodge of the father of Louis XIV - King Louis XIII, where as a child they spent time together, amusing themselves with hunting and forest walks.
Versailles would not have been so pompous had it not been for the careless act of the Minister of Finance, Nicolas Fouquet, which aroused the envy of Louis XIV.

This palace was destined for a long time to become a symbol of the power of France and the absolute power of its monarchs, an object of envy and delight for the whole world, a place for making historical decisions, redistributing world borders, wars and reconciliations, rebellions and revolutions, birth and death, gossip and intrigue, secrets and deceptions, meetings and partings, holidays and everyday life!

We will visit the state apartments of King Louis XIV, including his bedroom and the most luxurious hall of Versailles – the Mirror Gallery. We will also see the apartments of the three queens with the decoration left to us in memory of the famous Queen Marie Antoinette. Next, we will visit the part of the palace dedicated to the history of France, including the era of Napoleon Bonaparte. At will you can see a small elegant apartment daughters of Louis XV - Madame Victoria and Madame Adelaide.

You will be impressed by the grandeur of the palace interiors and the architecture of the palace itself!

The tour will continue to visit the grandiose park of the Palace of Versailles, broken by the famous court gardener - Andre Lenotre!
