American Holy Trinity Cathedral

23 av. George V, Paris, France

Description:

The cathedral was designed by a well-known company that built the Legislative Court in London. The temple is made in the Gothic Renaissance style. The decor of the building contains pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows, sharp kneeling needles, which depict 50 state colors, and 50 flags of American states. The church floor is made of expensive Italian and Belgian marble. Near the Cathedral stands a memorial chapel dedicated to the lost Americans in the Second World War.

The American Temple now operates as a parish. Services are conducted in English. But despite this, the Cathedral is primarily the residence of the bishop of the Episcopal Church in Europe.

The American Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is captured in the painting of the great artist. The original painting by Jean Beroux “After service in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Christmas 1890” is kept in the Carnival Museum.
