Stravinsky Fountain

France, Paris

Description:

Stravinsky Fountain is a fountain located on Igor Stravinsky Square in Paris. It consists of 16 moving sculptures (mobiles). The fountain was created in 1982-1983. The architect was Jean Tangley, and his wife, the French artist Niki de Saint-Falle, helped him in this.

Tangley made black wheel movements made of iron, and St. Falle created bright avant-garde figures from polystyrene. The figures play out the performance under the best works of Stravinsky, in turn releasing streams of water.

It is not difficult for an ordinary tourist to find the fountain at all, it is enough to know where Igor Stravinsky Square or the Georges Pompidou Center is located. When you look at the fountain, memories come to your heart - a longing for childhood, so carefree. . . You begin to miss the children's fairy tales told by your mother or grandmother.
