Promenade d'Orsay
Quai d'Orsay, 75007 Paris, France
Description:
Embankment d'Orsay is located in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, on the left bank of the Seine. The name also refers to the adjacent street. To the east of the Bourbon Palace, the embankment intersects with the promenade of Anatolia France, and to the west of the Alma Bridge, with the Branly Embankment.
Also here is the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is often called by the name of the embankment – Que d’Orsay.
The site was named after Charles Boucher d'Orsay, a member of parliament from Paris, who was responsible for the construction of the marina in the early eighteenth century.
Near the ministry are also the Palais-Bourbon, the seat of the national assembly, and the Hotel Lassay, the official residence of the President of France.
