St. Louis Island
Description:
An island located on the Seine River in Paris called Saint Louis is one of the most romantic places in the city, a favorite place for native Parisians and visitors to France.
Although there are practically no attractions on the island of St. Louis, unlike the neighboring island of Cité, here you can admire the wonderful architecture of houses on narrow streets, the green foliage of trees bent over the water, visit the local church and sit in a cozy cafe.
It seems as if the island is separated from the rest of Greater Paris, it enchants and presents itself as an oasis untouched by the revolutions and upheavals taking place in the rest of the city.
The island of St. Louis is one of the prestigious areas of the city, once there even lived the heir to the throne of France, as well as Baron Guy de Rothschild. Among the inhabitants of the island are also several famous artists, architects and politicians. The island can be accessed via the Louis Philippe Bridge, which is located east of the Town Hall. If you want to retire, you can walk along the southern embankments of the island of St. Louis. It should be noted that on the weekend, in the morning, the island is filled with tourists, and walking on it is not very cozy. It is better to visit it in the evening, have dinner in a restaurant and walk along narrow alleys.
