River Seine
Description:
The Seine is 776 kilometers long, it takes its source in Burgundy and flows into the Manche in northern France near Le Havre. In the area of Paris, it forms numerous curves. Since ancient times, the river has been the center of life of the French capital, its heart and soul.
The Seine divides Paris into two parts: on the right, trade and business enterprises are concentrated, and the left bank part has become the abode of culture, art and education. Within the city, all water routes lead to the island of Cité, which gave birth to the whole of Paris many centuries ago.
Today, the Seine is a water route along which countless cruise ships scurry and on which barges are moored, which have become home to hundreds of wealthy citizens, making the river the 21st quarter of Paris.
